The Unwanteds Ch. 1

Slade was sitting in the dimly light surveillance room of his new hideout. He became somewhat frustrated that once again his apprentice turned against him.

"Specter……at least you've been useful to me for awhile." Slade pushed a button on his chair; four lights clicked on to the left of him where four stunning pieces of jewelry. "The elemental stones on these priceless trinkets will finally allow me to rid myself of the Titans, then eventually the Justice League."

Specter had been tracking Slade during the  few month of his 'disappearance,' and he had finally located Slade's new hideout and planned stealing back the jewelry of Elemental Jewelry.  Specter snuck into Slade's hideout slowly searching for where the jewels were. Specter found the four jewels in the main area where Slade's throne was, but it was strange as to why they weren't being closely guarded like he expected. Meanwhile, Raven was still trying to convince the Titans that Specter is still alive.

"I'm telling you he's still out there!" Raven growled in her solemn voice.
"Come on Raven, it's been three whole month, if he really was alive then why hasn't he said anything, or at least tried to contact you?" Beastboy argued.
"You have no room to talk; you've sulked for a lot longer than I have, when Terra sacrificed herself to save us." Raven snapped back, her glass of water shattering due to her unstable return of her powers. "And he has made contact with me, I've seen him every time we subdued a villain."
"Come on, that was really uncalled for." Cyborg said as Beastboy transformed into a dog and walked away, his tail between his legs. "Raven, I understand you and he had a relationship, but it's been three months, besides we've only caught 4 villains during that time. You probably thought you saw him due to the return of your powers."
"Fine, don't believe me." Raven couldn't stand it any more she turned and headed toward the roof. "I know he's out there, and that's all that matters."

Starfire got up and went to chase after her friend, but was stopped by Robin.

"Let her go, Star, she need time to cool down." He said to the girl. "She'll come to terms with it sooner or later."
"And if she doesn't?" Harpee asked Robin, who had no answer. "She should not have to bear the loneliness."

Back to Slade's hideout, Specter crept slowly toward the unguarded jewels.

"Well, if it isn't my last apprentice." Slade's voice echoed through his hideout.
"Hiding in the shadows again, like the coward you are." Specter said in reply, hoping to get Slade aggravated.
"Ahh, but you see, I'm not hiding." Slade said from behind Specter, who rolled away from him as he stepped forward. "Come now, what, may I ask, brings you here? You aren't trying to steal from are you?"
"Steal, from you? No, I'm just returning these trinkets back to their original owners." Specter replied.
"I think not." Slade said narrowing his eye at Specter.

Slade charged Specter, within seconds they began exchanging kicks and punches, Slade had the upper hand for being the one who had trained Specter and for having a bit more experience than Specter had.

Meanwhile, at Wayne Industries a break in was happening. There were men in strange white hazmat suits led by a young teenage girl in a black and red suit.

"Alright, you heard grandpa!" The teenage girl commanded. "We're here to grab the Darquonium and nothing else."

The men nodded and took off through the labs looking for any clues as to where the Darquonium was being held.
